Patient, detail-driven instruction that builds real horsemen — from the very first lesson to the Grand Prix ring.
The MDT Difference
Most lesson programmes will get you around a course. Meg's programme will make you a horseman. There's a difference — and it shows. MDT riders develop real feel, correct position, and an instinctive understanding of the horse that carries through every level of the sport.
Lessons at MDT are intentionally small. Never more than three riders in a group. That means Meg and her team see you — not a crowd. Every session is purposeful, every correction is thoughtful, and every rider leaves with a clear sense of what to work on next.
Whether you're a complete beginner riding a school horse for the first time, or a seasoned competitor preparing for FEI-level competition, your programme is tailored specifically to you and your horse.
Book Your First LessonNo generic programmes. Every rider's plan is built around their goals, their horse, and where they are right now.
Intentionally small. You get the focused, individual attention that actually moves the needle.
All three rings. Strong flatwork foundations, gymnastics, course work, and equitation at every level.
No horse needed. MDT's carefully selected academy horses give every rider a safe, quality mount to learn on.

"My daughter had taken lessons at another show facility, but she was just given basic instruction. With Meg it was more than that — my daughter learned how to be a horseman."
— Edmund J. Meresh
The MDT Show Experience
When you show with MDT, you're not on your own. Meg is with you from the first course walk to the final ribbon — and every nerve-racking moment in between.
Before the Show
Show prep begins at home. Meg's training builds the muscle memory and confidence your horse and rider need before you ever pull into the showgrounds. Show entry coordination, stall deposits, and logistics are all handled for you.
At the Show
Course walks with Meg before every class. A focused warm-up with eyes on your every step. Ringside coaching through the gate. Then a proper debrief so you leave knowing exactly what to work on. Every single show.
The MDT Way
Horse shows should be fun. MDT's team atmosphere means your barn family cheers you on, helps you out, and keeps things in perspective — whether you pin first or last. The goal is always growth.
Estimates available for all shows — email megdunnetrainingevents@gmail.com. Deposits are non-refundable unless vet documentation is provided.

A premium boarding experience where your horse's care, training, and wellbeing are handled as one — not as separate line items.
What Makes MDT Boarding Different
Most boarding facilities charge you for the stall and then separately for every ride, lesson, and vet hold. At MDT, training services are built directly into your monthly board. Choose three or four services per week — and those services can be whatever your horse needs: a lesson, a pro ride, body work, or Meg holding your horse for the vet or farrier.
If your horse gets injured, MDT doesn't leave you with a gap in their programme and a pile of extra invoices. Those services get redirected to whatever care is needed. If there's a fifth week in a month, that extra service is banked as a surplus — a credit toward any future cancellation.
This is a genuinely different model. It means Meg and her team have their hands on your horse consistently, every single week — and you have a single, predictable monthly cost.
Call to Discuss AvailabilityIndividual or group turnout on large grassy fields and all-weather paddocks — 365 days a year.
Beautiful indoor arena with premium Equiloft footing — ideal for year-round training regardless of weather.
Seasonal outdoor arena with views of the Stafford Hills, plus year-round gallop hills and trails.
FEI Sports Medicine veterinary partner, top farriers, and specialists. MDT holds your horse for every appointment.
Spacious stalls bedded and cleaned daily. Hot/cold wash rack, heated tack room, dedicated tacking areas.
Your weekly services — lesson, pro ride, body work, or vet hold — flex with your horse's needs each week.

A small, detail-oriented facility in Tualatin, Oregon with a big heart for horses others give up on — and riders of every level.

Our Story
Originally from the East Coast, Meg grew up riding under top trainers including 4-star event rider Nancy Guyotte. She went on to train at Drew University under Osvaldo Ornia Pacher of Palermo Show Stables, riding imported Argentinian Warmbloods in the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings — and competing on the Division 1 IHSA Team.
After moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2013, Meg built a reputation for transforming horses others had written off. Ex-racehorses, Premarin foals, wayward warmbloods — she has taken horses deemed "worthless" from the ground up to Grand Prix. MDT also co-owns MDT Events, running affordable horse shows across Oregon, Washington, and Canada.
Meg has a keen eye for detail, paired with a gentle but firm demeanor and a genuine sense of humor. She caters to all levels — from a rider's very first lesson to the top of the sport.
"Meg is not only a highly skilled and accomplished rider, but her teaching skills are far superior to anyone I've come into contact with. She is dedicated, patient, calm, and very accommodating to all."
